Mars was someone with a Deep Appreciation for Music.

It was more than just some pleasant Background Sounds that were being used to create an "Atmosphere" and more than just something to Dance to; but was, instead, a means of Communicating Directly, (without the use of Words), with Nature.

The Fury of the Sun, the Sounds of the Sea, the Beating of our Hearts, the Rhythm of the Rain, the Anger of Storms, the Resignation and Melancholy after a Storm has passed, the Rustling of the Wind as it moved thru the Trees, the Peaceful Serenity of Moonlight, the awesome Quiet of the Cosmic Void; these are some of the Melodies and Emotions of the Natural Environment that Mars felt were being expressed by Music.

Of those Compositions that most closely reflect his understanding of "Music", some of his favorites are listed below.

"Moonlight" Sonata: Beethoven

Planetary Unfolding: Micheal Stearns

Bachianas Brasileiras No. 5: Heitor Villa-Lobos

Symphony No. 5: Tchaikovsky

Ave Maria: Schubert

Clair de Lune: Claude Debussy

The Polonaise: Chopin

Requiem Op.48: Gabriel Faure

Fur Elise: Beethoven

The Magnificent Void: Steve Roach

These are some of the Expressions of Sentiment coming out from the Depths of our Cosmic Soul. Soothing Melodies that can help bring a Sense Of Tranquility into our Hectic Lives.

One can imagine Mars sitting alone, in the privacy of his Grand Home (with the Ruger resting nearby, always at the Ready); and with Pen in hand; as he tried to express his Feelings in Poems and sought to Resolve the Turmoil that lived within him. This type of Music seemed to Calm his Nerves and to Deepen his Repose.

It helped to bring him Peace.
